Family support services for companies and their employees
It’s always difficult to achieve a life/work balance and this is even harder when trying to balance being a good parent with being a good employee.
Companies rightly focus on employee wellbeing providing opportunities for therapy, fitness training, flexible working... but for employees who are parents there may be a need for support in aspects of their home life. Parents may be worried or stressed about such things as sleep patterns, toilet training, feeding, teenagers, play and if they are worried, stressed or just plain exhausted, that doesn’t stop when they start work and can have a significant effect on wellbeing, productivity and general approach.
So, what to do?
Offering support to employees to help them with aspects of their home life can have a real effect on wellbeing and productivity. In order to make that become a reality, we can help by offering the following services for your business:
Regular lunchtime talks / webinars on parenting issues – we can deliver these to your employees by Zoom or in person.
We can tailor a bespoke package to suit your needs as a business - parenting sessions delivered in a way that suits your company style/ethos. We can look at your employee demographic and tailor a package which works for your employees and their needs. This might be a mix of lunchtime talks, 1:1 support or access to our online video guides (webinars).
Other resources available are:
1:1 parent support consultations when they book following a lunchtime talk / live in-house webinar.
newborn support packages – for employees going on maternity, paternity or adoption leave.
Access to our online video guides (webinars) – for parents to download when they need them on a range of topics covering newborn through to teens.
Free parenting information and advice – our blogs cover topics from newborn to teen and everything in between!
“I can honestly say the training was the most amazing training we did, and it still stays with me today.”

Testimonials
From Jane Cooper
Managing Director Chartwells Independent 2011 to 2016
In my previous role as Managing Director for Chartwells Independents we wanted to ensure that all our teams understood the importance of behaviours and environment within the dining areas. As there could be a significant impact both negatively and positively with the children. We wanted them to look forward to every meal and enjoy the experience each time. As well as our teams feel confident in understanding their needs and requirements.
We engaged with Claire Burgess and Rebekah Frankcom to look at how we could train, make our teams aware of the needs of pupils in every age group. The level of development and research work that they carried out was amazing.
I can always remember when Claire ran the first training session and one of the chefs said to me before the training “I don’t understand why you are asking us to do this training as I can’t see what benefit this will be to me”. After the training the chef came back to me and said, “ I have never ever benefited from a training session like this it has totally changed my attitude”, he said this with a tear in his eye as he had never associated the impact of the smallest of things would have on a child’s experience of just having lunch.
I can honestly say the training was the most amazing training we did, and it still stays with me today. In total Claire trained over 500 people.

Former Managing Director Asquith Nannies, Group HR Director Asquith Nurseries, Director Asquith Montessori
Whilst employed as MD Asquith Nannies, Group HR Director Asquith Nurseries, Director Asquith Montessori overseeing 100 children’s nurseries and 2500 employees I worked with Rebekah and Claire who at the time were working with Norland College.
From a personal perspective, I found Rebekah and Claire very supportive, understanding, and flexible to work with and were quickly aligned to our business needs adding real value to our reputation, brand, team, parents and children.
They took Norland in a new direction and by listening attentively to our requirements, were agile enough to provide new and creative solutions for large organisations such as our own who were, at the time, the best childcare company in the UK.
We learnt a great deal from their expertise and they were very talented enough to deliver the solutions in a friendly, professional manner, on time and to brief.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Rebekah and Claire to any future prospective businesses.
