My goodness Claire is amazing. Working with paediatrics myself it was particularly upsetting to feel helpless when our little girl was born and so distressed. She screamed constantly in the most distressing way for up to 12hours!!! I had no idea just how challenging a baby could be.

I kept telling myself she's a newborn adapting to the outside world, but the more I saw babies of a similar age I realised she really was trying to tell us something wasn't right.

She barely napped in the day. Generally napping for 2-5minutes with the odd random 20minute nap before being wide awake screaming again. We'd tried multiple approaches which helped minimally but increased the cycle of over stimulation and increased tiredness. We also really struggled to get any wind up which also seemed to feed her discomfort.

Committing as optimally as possible to Claire's recommendations we saw immediate improvement. Yes some attempts to get her to sleep are more challenging but she's already learning the cues we give her that she should go to sleep. We are now one week on any my partner's gone for a run and I'm typing this while our baby naps.

I can't tell you how valuable Claire's knowledge and calm supportive nature have helped our family. Not only was our baby in tears prior to this but also me! Now our baby naps in the day, sleeps well at night, calmly entertain herself during the day without constantly being held. I can get to the bathroom, make a cuppa, and even eat dinner!

We had a new happy baby as soon as we implemented the recommended changes and she continues to improve daily.

I only wish we had taken this course before our child was born! We took the course when our child was 6 weeks old when she was and struggling with sleep, feeding and colic. 

The video and fact sheet gave us a clearer understanding of what we were doing well and what we should be doing better, and by 8 weeks old there has been a noticeable change in our daughter. 

We feel much more confident as parents, and this has truly been reflected in our daughter sleeping and feeding much better with less colic! Thank you for keeping things simple for us to understand and follow!

Despite being an early years professional in the theoretical field, I have found educating a child and raising a child are two very different things! 

The ‘welcoming your newborn’ guide has filled in the gaps that I, as a new mother, felt I needed to gain more confidence in.

With so much conflicting information online about best practice for caring for newborns, it was a relief to be given guidance from an experienced professional that was clear and constructive, and he helped me be a better mother to my child. Thank you so much Claire.

Having worked with Claire in a professional capacity previously through her training sessions, I knew she was the person we needed to speak to when facing challenges with our new born daughter. 

After many sleepless nights with a 6 week old suffering from colic, it was a relief to speak to Claire and get her advice! Almost overnight we saw a change in our daughter, and 2 weeks on (Matilda is now 8 weeks old) we have a much happier baby and also a much more structured and manageable routine to our days and nights. As new parents, Claire’s 1:1 advice was priceless to help us give our daughter what she needed to manage colic and to help her sleep better. It also allowed us to enjoy this precious new born phase as new parents with a much happier baby.

I really loved the video (‘Your Guide to Behaviour and Emotions’) and feel like it was such an amazing refresh on what I previously learnt at Norland (College). It also gave me lots more confidence so thank you for this.

Maihri was so lovely from start to finish and following our consultation gave us a consistent plan we could use to help our son. She gave us the time to implement the plan at our own pace and Bespoke Family were great at checking in and following up with us. By night 2 our son was sleeping so much better and everyone has commented how he’s settling down to sleep much easier and wakes up so much happier. We’re now getting more sleep at night and so is he! I was having a really difficult time with my 3.5 year old, he was withholding his wees all day at nursery which caused him to get a UTI and then made him scared to go to the toilet, so I was desperate to build up his confidence again. I felt at a loss as we had tried everything for about a week but to no avail, he refused to use the toilet and was doing accidents everywhere. I decided to reach out to Bespoke Family for a phone consultation and it was just brilliant, Claire was so lovely and understanding. She gave me some really great advice on how to approach the withholding at nursery and also followed up afterwards to check how things were going. Claire and Rebekah held a webinar over Zoom for parents at our pre-school. They were extremely informative and spoke in a way that provided reassurance to the parents! The q & a at the end was really helpful too. We would definitely book to do this again!

My baby has never been a great sleeper. Initially we had issues with reflux which caused severe congestion at night and then we had to trial different prescription milks for suspected CMPA. This caused tummy pains and trapped wind. As a consequence we struggled with night after night of broken sleep. As she got older the reflux and tummy issues improved but sleep remained a constant issue.

I approached Bespoke Family for help because despite there now being no obvious underlying cause my baby was still waking up multiple times a night, sometimes for up to 3 hours at a time and getting her back to sleep seemed to be an impossible challenge. Nap times often involved tears from us both as I tried to settle her. I knew we both needed better sleep to help us both feel more positive.

Claire took in to account our family’s needs, including the fact that any routine had to fit around school runs. She gave me different options of techniques to try to ensure that I was comfortable with whatever we did. Within a couple of days my baby was self settling for naps and at bedtime and after 5 days of consistent routine, she slept through the night for the first time ever. The whole process was painless and so much quicker and easier than I could have imagined. My baby still wakes occasionally at night but very rarely needs my help to get herself back to sleep. She is happier and more settled, I am feeling more rested and refreshed and our whole family is extremely grateful to Claire for her support and expertise.

We first had a consultation with Claire after our daughter’s sleep routine completely fell apart at 12 months. We’d looked at a few different consultants prior, but Claire’s experience as a Norland nanny (and Norland tutor) as well as Bespoke Family’s tailored approach, really stood out. There are so many sleep consultants who have very limited experience and/or insist the same method works for all children. From the offset, Claire considered every detail, including our intention to travel long haul, and came up with a unique plan for us. I also really liked that the plan had several options rather than insisting a single approach, whilst remaining specific. In addition, we were alway encouraged and not dissuaded from using our instincts as parents. Thanks to Claire’s advice, my daughter went from being bf to a deep sleep and then placed in her cot and waking a 3-5 times per night to loving her bedtime routine, going into her cot fully awake and sleeping through the night. It has honestly been life changing for us. Bespoke Family also have the advantage of being experts on so much more than sleep and we continue to reach out to them as challenges occur. Emma has also being fantastic to liaise with esp. as we are based overseas. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I can't speak highly enough about Claire. We had an entire year of broken sleep and had tried so many different techniques. We are based in Dublin and recently worked with Claire on our 4 year olds bed time routine (or complete lack thereof!). One week in to a new routine and the difference has been amazing. Getting advice and switching a couple of things round has made a massive difference. Poppy is happier, everyone is getting undisturbed sleep and I'm able to use less makeup to hide the bags under my eyes. Thank you so much!

Until 3 weeks ago, our toddler had no problems sleeping, then everything changed! Along with the sleep problem, we had head banging and were at a loss how to deal with it. We contacted Bespoke Family and opted for a consultation with Claire. Communication with Bespoke Family was excellent and we were very lucky to get an appointment within a few days. Claire provided a very welcome insight into how our little one sees the world, identified the problem and gave us an action plan.
